OpenLegacy enabled Hachaklait to focus on field veterinary services rather than connection issues

OpenLegacy generates 200 APIs to enhance and empower field operations, and improve customer service

This cooperative supports veterinarians in the field as they visit, check and treat livestock. As they go from farm to farm, veterinarians require a way to keep track of the different diagnoses, prescriptions and invoices they issue. The mobile mini-terminal devices they were using were antiquated, cumbersome and relied on live communication to the IBM i backend. This resulted in incomplete or out-of date data.

To overcome these issues, the cooperative partnered with OpenLegacy, extending their IBM i system to iPad Mini tablets.

“It was essential for us to have IBM System i data in the hands of our doctors in the field. We looked at many options, and OpenLegacy was the only solution that works equally well with both the legacy environment and the tablet.”
